Sire: Baronis Bocephus (Bo) is a 2 1/2 year old yellow Labrador Retiever who is currently training to run at the Qualifying levels in field trials. He comes from a strong mix of hunt test and field trial lines and runs all-age level marks and blinds. He is very sweet and playful at rest, but intensely focused in the field.

Dam: Yardley Labs Electrik Blue (Blue) is 62 pounds of pure muscle, energy, and personality. In the house, she is quiet and neat. Blue is a daughter of our own Yardley Labs Ms T-Maxx QAA (FC AFC High Tech CEO x Deep Run Morning Star) and was sired by AFC Rebel Ridge Brace for Impact (NAFC FC Cody Cut a Lean Grade x FC-AFC Carolina's Acoustic Storm). As is not surprising, given her lineage, Blue is highly energetic, and very sweet. In early training, Blue showed surprising skill in managing even all-age level marks with solid marking, straight lines and loads of drive.

All pups from this litter have been committed as of 9/1/17.

Pups from this litter should be capable of performing well in hunt tests or field trials. They should also make excellent hunting dogs and companions around the house. They are unlikely to be suitable for families that will not provide them with basic obedience training and lots of exercise (something I would say about all well bred Labs). Labs are generally very good with children, but it is important that small children be involved in "training" the dog so that they learn how to care for and handle the dog responsibly and also learn that Lab pups can get pretty excited and may sometimes knock a smaller child down by accident. If you are buying a pup and have young children, please bring them to visit the pups as often as possible so they can find out how to handle a small puppy safely and also get used to an adult Lab at the same time (either the mom or one of my other girls).

Pups are covered by a 28 month guarantee against genetic problems of hips, elbows or eyes as well as a general guarantee that they are in good health at the time of delivery. They are guaranteed not to be affected by genetic disorders known as Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) or Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM).

Pups had dew claws removed during their initial vet exam. Pups will also will be vet examined and have initial shots at about six weeks, and will have microchips inserted at that time for permanent identification. Pups will be well socialized with children, adults, and other animals.

These pups were born is a most unusual manner. Five pps were born in quick succession between 6:45 and 8:30 in the morning on August 22. While surprised by the small size of the litter, all the pups and the mom were doing well. However, on August 24, two days later, the mom again showed signs of labor. An emergency c-section was performed. It turned out that an extra large pup had died in utero and caused three other pups to be stranded high enough up that they weren't noticed. Those three miracle pups were delivered safely by Dr. Charlie at the Stockton Veterinary Hospital in Stockton, NJ and are now thriving with their slightly older littermates. While it was a scary beginning, they show no signs of having suffered from a couple of extra days inside of their mom.

As noted, all pups have been committed. Final puppy selections will be made when the pups are about five weeks old, and pups will be ready to go to their new homes October 10-17.

At One Week:
Puppies are doing wonderfully after their first week. All have been checked out by the vet and have had their dew claws removed. Puppies now range from 15 to 27 ounces and are just beginning to show signs of standing up. In another 1-2 weeks, all will open their eyes and begin walking, beginning their real adventure into life. Puppies are designated with a code indicating color, sex, and birth order. Thus, "YF1" means yellow female born first in the litter.
