Sire: Baronis Bocephus (Bo) is a 3 year old yellow (fox red) Labrador Retiever who achieved Qualified All Age status based on winning a Qualifying trial in Maryland at the age of 2 1/2. He has since begun competing at the All-Age level. He comes from a strong mix of hunt test and field trial lines and runs all-age level marks and blinds. He is very sweet and playful at rest, but intensely focused in the field.

Dam: Yardley Labs Electrik Blue (Blue) is 64 pounds of pure muscle, energy, and personality. In the house, she is quiet and neat. Blue is a daughter of our own Yardley Labs Ms T-Maxx QAA (FC AFC High Tech CEO x Deep Run Morning Star) and was sired by AFC Rebel Ridge Brace for Impact (NAFC FC Cody Cut a Lean Grade x FC-AFC Carolina's Acoustic Storm). As is not surprising, given her lineage, Blue is highly energetic and very sweet. In early training, Blue showed surprising skill in managing even all-age level marks with solid marking, straight lines and loads of drive. Blue is black, and carries the recessive gene for yellow.

Seven pups were born in this litter. Defying statistical expectations, this included two yellow males, one black male, and four yellow females. The unusual split of color in this litter combined with medical issues that prevent one purchaser from going through with their purchase mean that two pups in the litter - the black male and one yellow female remain available at five weeks following birth. These pups will be ready to go to their new homes beginning on July 22.

Pups from this litter should be capable of performing well in hunt tests or field trials. They should also make excellent hunting dogs and companions around the house. They are unlikely to be suitable for families that will not provide them with basic obedience training and lots of exercise (something I would say about all well bred Labs). Labs are generally very good with children, but it is important that small children be involved in "training" the dog so that they learn how to care for and handle the dog responsibly and also learn that Lab pups can get pretty excited and may sometimes knock a smaller child down by accident. If you are buying a pup and have young children, please bring them to visit the pups as often as possible so they can find out how to handle a small puppy safely and also get used to an adult Lab at the same time (either the mom or one of my other girls).

Pups are covered by a 28 month guarantee against genetic problems of hips, elbows or eyes as well as a general guarantee that they are in good health at the time of delivery. They are guaranteed not to be affected by genetic disorders known as Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC) or Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM).

Pups had dew claws removed during their initial vet exam two days following birth. When dew claws are able to be removed at 1-3 days of age, it is a simple and quick procedure and protects the pup from the possibiliy of a more serious accident while hunting or competing as an adult. However, when it cannot be done that early for whatever reason, it becomes a more complicated surgery requiring anesthesia and offers no health benefits to the dog when compared with the relatively small risk of a later accident. Pups will also will be vet examined and have initial shots at about six weeks, and will have microchips inserted at that time for permanent identification. Pups are being well socialized with children, adults, and other animals. They are large, active, and very cute
